Peer through playpens with me. Do you see it? A rare Oryctolagus cuniculus. This specimen is a stunning black. He seems to be a male based on the lack of dewlap, or fur protruding from his neck. Don't move too fast, or he will run away. Most cuniculus need a little time to warm up. My god, I'm going to try and photograph this beautiful creature before he is adopted into a good home. *Three days pass photographing and inching closer* Great Scott, this cuniculus has jumped into my lap. My colleagues will never believe this encounter!
