POSITION MOST NEEDED
Adoption Counselor
Help our bunnies find their forever homes! The ideal person for this role has extensive bunny experience, is comfortable interviewing potential adopters, and providing education on proper rabbit care that is consistent with RMHRR's recommendations. Schedule varies.
*NEW* Bonding Team Members
Help our bunnies find their special forever friend! People available for 3 hour bonding shift on the weekend at the shelter, initially paired with already experienced bonding team member for training.This could also be done on a FRIDAY as well; 3-hour shift each weekend
*NEW* Bunny Brigade Team
When a domesticated bunny is dumped in the wild and left to fend for themselves, it's the RMHRR Bunny Brigade Team who comes to the rescue! We are currently in need of new team members who are willing to help capture these bunnies and get them to a safe location.
*NEW* Saturday Feeding Team (Weeks 3 & 5)
Help keep our sheltered bunnies healthy and hoppy by providing fresh hay and water, delicious pellets, and other tasty snacks. Feeders also clean dishes.
*NEW* Thursday Feeding Team Lead
Help our sheltered bunnies stay healthy by leading a team of feeding volunteers. The right person for this role is comfortable with leading and delegating to others, has excellent communication skills, and is willing to take responsibility for staying until all feeding is done, and making sure the building is safe and secure before leaving for the evening. Full training will be provided.


Tune-Up Class Instructors
Teach Tune-Up classes, focusing on educating adopters and the community on proper rabbit handling and basic health checks and wellness care." Qualifications include strong knowledge of rabbit care, including proper handling and behavior, prior rabbit experience, friendly and approachable demeanor. Time Commitment is flexible, but ideally willing to teach one class a month, which lasts about 3 hours, plus additional prep time for setting up and afterwards, cleaning up the classroom
Overall Cleaning Oversight
Responsible for oversight of all cleaning needs in the shelter including pens, intake area, floors around pens, washing of shelter shoes, dusting of non-pen objects everywhere, bathrooms, classroom and office floors, etc. Although the individual in this position will perform some cleaning tasks, the primary focus will be on providing oversight and training to others.
General Cleaning Assistant
3 volunteers urgently needed. Responsible for cleaning a designated non-pen area on a monthly basis. This can be done any weekday during the month, at any time, except between 3-6 p.m (when bunnies are getting dinner).
*NEW* Onboarding Coordinator (REMOTE POSITION)
The onboarding coordinator works side-by-side with the volunteer management team, and plays an incredibly important role in recruiting, welcoming, and onboarding new volunteers. For more information, click HERE.
