vaccine/spay & neuter clinics

Spay and Neuter Assistance

Spaying and neutering provide significant health and behavioral benefits while helping prevent accidental litters and reducing the number of unwanted rabbits entering Colorado shelters and rescues.

Assistance may be offered through scheduled community clinics or participating veterinary partners. Pricing, medical eligibility, and appointment requirements may vary. A veterinarian will make all final decisions regarding whether a rabbit is medically able to undergo surgery.

RHDV Vaccination Clinics

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus, commonly known as RHDV, is a highly contagious and frequently fatal disease. It can be spread through direct contact with an infected rabbit as well as contaminated shoes, clothing, food, insects, equipment, and other surfaces.

Vaccination is one of the most important tools available to protect companion rabbits. Our reduced-cost clinics are designed to make this protection available to more Colorado households

How Donations Help

Every donation to the Colorado Rabbit Care Initiative helps make essential care more accessible for rabbits in our community.

  • Donations may help:

  • Subsidize RHDV2 vaccinations

  • Reduce the cost of spay and neuter procedures

  • Assist Colorado families experiencing financial hardship

  • Support clinic supplies and program expenses

  • Expand the number of rabbits served through future clinics

A gift to this initiative does more than pay part of a veterinary bill. It protects rabbits from preventable disease, helps reduce accidental litters, supports families who are trying to do the right thing, and keeps more rabbits healthy and in loving homes and reduces the number of rabbits in shelters.
